Kyle Bradish News
Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Kyle Bradish threw five innings of one-run ball in Wednesday's 7-6 12-inning victory over the Nationals, allowing four hits and two walks while striking out nine, but did not factor into the decision. Bradish has now had two solid outings since coming off the IL, now boasting a 1.86 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, and a 4:14 BB:K over nine-and-two-thirds IP. Fantasy managers who stashed him in an IL spot for the first month of the season should feel confident using him again, if they hadn't already, although his innings may be somewhat limited as he returns to full strength. The former fourth-round MLB draft pick's next start lines up next Tuesday at home against Toronto.
Baltimore Orioles right-hander Kyle Bradish allowed one run on four hits over 4 2/3 innings in a 7-2 win over the New York Yankees on Thursday. Bradish struck out five and walked two while taking a no-decision in the outing. It was an encouraging start for Bradish, who was activated from the 15-day injured list earlier in the day on Thursday after missing the start of the 2024 season after spraining the UCL in his right elbow during spring training. Bradish needs to be rostered in all leagues moving forward after he posted a 2.83 ERA and 168 strikeouts across 168 2/3 innings of work for the Orioles in 2023.
Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Kyle Bradish threw 4 innings of one-run ball in his first start of the 2024 season against the New York Yankees on Thursday. Bradish didn't pick up the win as he didn't go five innings, but he was solid and gave his team a good chance to win. He gave up four hits and two walks while striking out five in the shortened outing, throwing 84 pitches. Bradish should get back to a normal workload soon and will hopefully return to his 2023 form where he posted a 2.83 ERA and 1.04 WHIP with 168 strikeouts in 168 IP. The 27-year-old should be universally rostered in fantasy.

Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Kyle Bradish came out of nowhere with an outstanding 2023 season, going 12-7 with a 2.83 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, and 25.0% strikeout rate in 30 starts and 168 2/3 innings pitched. He still relied primarily on his excellent slider but swapped four-seam fastball usage for a sinker. Consequently, he allowed hard contact overall but kept the ball out of the air with a 6.6-degree launch angle. He also likely benefitted from both the expanded outfield dimensions at Camden Yards and his team's stellar defense, as he significantly outperformed his 3.76 SIERA. The 27-year-old is currently going at about pick 97 overall, making him the 40th pitcher off the board. The current starters going around Bradish have all shown flashes of upside throughout their career but also have either shown holes in their game, inexperience, or are returning from injuries. A large chunk of pitchers are being drafted within a 15-pick window of Bradish, making it tough to sift through. However, Bradish's strong home park, great offensive and defensive support, and 2023 performance make him a reasonable selection at this point in drafts.
