Bryce Miller News
Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Bryce Miller had himself a day on Monday in a 2-1 win against the Atlanta Braves. Miller went seven innings while striking out 10 batters, walking one, and allowing one earned run. He is 3-2 on the season, pitching 35 innings with a 2.04 ERA while allowing 19 hits, nine runs, five homers, 12 walks, and 39 strikeouts in six starts. The 25-year-old has a 9.93 K/9 and a 3.06 BB/9, backing his success this year on the mound. His next projected start is against Houston, and the way he is pitching, fantasy managers should have him starting no matter who the opponent is.
Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Bryce Miller shut down the Cincinnati Reds while tallying a win in Wednesday's 5-1 victory, tossing six innings of one-run ball on one hit with seven strikeouts. Reds star Elly De La Cruz may have taken Miller deep in the second inning, but the hurler was perfect for his other five frames otherwise. Following the 25-year-old former top prospect's brilliant day on the mound, he sports a shiny 1.85 ERA, 0.82 WHIP, and 24:7 K:BB over 24 1/3 frames (four starts). Miller's next start lines up for next Wednesday on the road against the defending-champion Texas Rangers, who torched him for 13 runs in seven innings last season. Fantasy managers in season-long leagues will have a difficult decision to make for that one, but Miller might be throwing too well to sit right now.
Seattle Mariners right-hander Bryce Miller allowed three hits and one walk while striking out across seven across seven scoreless innings in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Milwaukee Brewers. He picked up his first win of the season. The 25-year-old threw 78 pitches, landing 53 for strikes. He bounced back on Saturday after surrendering two homers and yielding four earned runs in his previous start. Miller owns a 3.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and 13 strikeouts over 12 innings in 2024. Miller will look to build on Saturday's performance at his next start on Friday at home against the Chicago Cubs. Fantasy managers should continue to start Miller in all leagues.

Seattle Mariners pitcher Bryce Miller enjoyed a very nice rookie year in 2023. The 25-year-old worked to a 4.32 ERA while taking the ball for 25 starts, but a look under the hood reveals he was superior to what his surface ERA suggests. Miller also posted a 3.98 FIP and 4.17 SIERA while walking just 4.8% of the batters he faced, good for ninth among the 87 pitchers who threw at least 130 innings last season. He posted a middling 22.2% K% but his pinpoint control led him to a quality 17.3% K-BB%. Additionally, Miller put forth a hefty 29.2% K% in 10 starts at Double-A in 2022, so there is certainly some runway for him to increase his strikeout rate in his sophomore season in 2024. With an ADP sitting at 187.84, right in line with RotoBaller's 184 ranking, Miller is a reasonable grab at that spot considering the low-risk nature of his game with room to grow in the strikeout department.
