Ryan Tannehill News
ESPN's Brooke Pryor suggests that the Pittsburgh Steelers could opt to bring in Tennessee Titans impending free-agent quarterback Ryan Tannehill as a short-term fix at the position if they want to give Kenny Pickett more time to develop in 2024. It makes some sense given Tannehill's success in offensive coordinator Arthur Smith's system in Tennessee -- Tannehill earned his lone Pro Bowl nod in 2019 with Smith running the offense. However, Tannehill is now 35 years old and wouldn't have the type of aerial weapons that he did when he had a career-best season in Tennessee. Pittsburgh has also expressed interest in re-signing Mason Rudolph, who was more efficient after taking over for Pickett while leading the team to a playoff berth.
Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill completed 17 of his 26 passes for 168 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the Week 18 upset win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. It was likely Tannehill's final game with the organization, and he did enough to knock the Jaguars out of the playoffs. The 35-year-old is unlikely to land a starting job in the offseason, but he could serve as a bridge quarterback or draw a start or two next season due to injuries. There's a low chance he's on the fantasy radar in single-QB formats next year, but deep Superflex league fantasy managers should monitor his landing spot in free agency.
Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill will make the start in the Week 18 regular season finale on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars instead of rookie Will Levis, who injured his foot in the Week 17 loss to the Houston Texans. With the Titans already eliminated from the postseason, they've elected to give the 35-year-old Tannehill one final start in what is expected to be his final game with the organization. He'll have a lot of incentive to play well in front of the home faithful as the Titans look to spoil the Jaguars' playoff hopes. Tannehill also started in Week 16 with Levis sidelined, and he's gone 34-for-46 for 320 yards, no touchdowns or interceptions in the last two weeks. He'll be playing with a lot of emotions this weekend but won't be a recommended DFS sleeper at the QB position.
